Yohji vs. Issey Haircut
It took me a while to find the courage to cut my hair short. But the lack of summer this year kind of forced me to act as if it were 40° out there and to be very honest with you – it worked! Every time I look in the mirror my hair screams vacation now.
The moment I felt ready for this huge step George, Louis and I were visiting my parents in Germany.
And there is only one, well actually two hairdressers but one salon I trust blindly – Stephane and Roland at Coiffeur Roland in Baden-Baden. I couldn’t think of anyone better when it comes to hair and style in general. You don’t have to talk and explain much for them to understand what you want or need. It’s a simple question of feeling and trust me – they understand.
Masters of haircut and coloration they always wear the most sophisticated outfits, predominantly combinations of old vs. new Yohji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake collector pieces and even their dogs entirely incarnate that universe being literally named after the two creators. Also the salon is located in the most beautiful area in Baden-Baden right in between the Casino, the theatre and Frieder Burda Museum.
