Yves Saint Laurent’s Moujik by Andy Warhol

You might wonder why I uploaded these pictures just now.

Well, i had a very though week so far and I remembered, while complaining about how much i needed a summer vacation right now, that I haven’t posted anything about my Marrakech trip in 2011.

Anyway I thought these pictures could cheer me up a little bit, as the weather in Paris is really beastly these days, too.

I only spent three short days in Marrakech but one of the most remarkable experiences has been a lunch break at Yves Saint Laurents former summer residence in the Majorelle Garden. For the very first time I tried a so called tajine berbere, a wonderful all veggie dish, in the middle of this stunning oasis. The colours, the smell, the tase… one-of-a-kind.

This is also where I came across a reprint of Yves Saint Laurent‘s french bulldog Moujik by Andy Warhol. Pretty cool to own such a prominent dedication to your dog.

Who’d be the Andy Warhol of today? I could imagine Bruce Nauman creating neon tube pug shades :-)
